Storms of life

The cold wind blows
the tree shakes and sways
rooted in the ground
it depends on it trunk
to keep it strong
till the wind subsides

The tree knows that this will pass
this all will change

this realization makes the tree smile
as the cold wind blows

Every living moment

Our judgement of how our life is
Our judgment about how we are and how others are
spoils the beauty of each moment
each moment is beautiful and present
just accept it as is
one breath at a time

In the middle of it all

You cannot undertake anyone else’s journey,
you cannot accelerate or slow down anyone else’s healing process
you can only walk your own path with as much peace, joy and presence as possible
and hope that it has an influence.

No thoughts

When I start my spiritual practice in the morning.
Typically my mind is full of thoughts, the stresses and strains of the day, people I have to call, things I have to do, etc. etc.
A constant flow of thoughts takes place.
Some days these thoughts are like a wild river that can sweep me away in it’s power.

Slowly through the practice and the conscious process of breath awareness the thoughts slow down.
Calmness arrives.

I then get to a point of no thoughts when the mind comes to a state of rest.
At this time I am aware of my body, breath and mind.
However, there are no thoughts and a state of peace prevails.

I call these moments the gap, the emptiness, the zero.
This state of being for me is God, as I know it and as I experience it.
This place is of immense spiritual peace, healing and insight.
It has boundless potential.

It all starts from transcending your thoughts and going into that space of no thoughts.

Spiritual Energy

Eating is the time when we are getting concentrated dose of food energy.
Similarly there are times of infusion of concentrated spiritual energy, this could be in chanting, meditation or just being in a holy place. Certain practices and places have the power to lift our spirit.

Just like there are gas stations to fuel up your car there are places to energize your spirit.

Go to the places, spend the time to load up on any of these practices that increase your spiritual energy.

Our constant companion of energy and peace also is our breath, available to us in each moment of our existence. Gentle awareness of the existence of our breath is a consciousness of life, spirit and God.

The Mind and the breath

The mind is always in thinking mode, so is its nature.
Our heart beats, our nose smells and our brains thinks !

Thoughts both pleasant and unpleasant take us away from the present moment.
The present moment is where consciousness exits.

You are sitting in a comfortable, safe place yet you can be miserable if your mind is stuck in sad or negative thinking.
Our mind creates this reality to which our body reacts our shoulders get tight our breathing becomes shorter our muscles tense up.

The body reacts to the mental activity as if it is real as if it is actually happening.

The truth is that all of that is not happening it is only state of our mind that is in constant change.

The breath is always in the present moment.

And the breath is connected to the mind and body.

If we just focus on our breath this gently detaches us from the mind and it activities.
The breath brings us in the now where there is a lot of peace.
It is also the only truth that really exists.

So when you get stressed, breathe slowly and focus on  the breath

Breathe !

Feet on the ground, connected to mother earth.
Back straight. Deep integrating breath right from the top of the head to the base chakra.
Presence Presence presence !

Awareness of everything  the good, bad and that which you are not aware of.
